Quadrilateral 2006

 

My 2nd year university film. For this project we had to create a short animation, set to music with no dialogue. Quadrilateral follows four different characters' stories, which all link together in an intriguing way. To add to the puzzle, I decided to play around with the traditional linear structure of a narrative, and show the chain of events in the wrong order.

 

I composed the music too, which is also split into four sections, mirroring the story. Certain noises and instruments in the music represent each of the four characters, and can be heard whenever the corresponding character is on screen.
